We make no secret of the fact that we have had a fully operational factory in China for the past 10yrs. We began in a small way by manufacturing our own caravan frames, walls, chassis's and furniture and some components and building the "traditional" caravan. Over the years under our supervision our incredibly hard working enthusiastic team in China have come a long way and have now progressed to building the caravans and campers to a 70% completed stage.
Here in Australia our factory team bring it to completion with the installation of all appliances, windows, awnings, etc (all from Australian suppliers) and complete the electrical and plumbing installations. This method of manufacturing enables us to pass on the savings to our customers.
Through our experience over the years we have moved away from the "traditional" method of manufacturing. For example we have seen brand new caravans, not yet registered with the sides of the van laden with wood rot. This is an ever-increasing problem as more and more manufacturers cut corners to save on material and labour costs.
Our new concept uses re-enforced honeycomb composite panel construction for walls, floor and roof. The front bedroom module, which is consistent throughout all models, is a one-piece moulded fibreglass pod resulting in only one join across the roof. Plywood has been eliminated. All cabinetry now is white powdercoated aluminium.
